The mandate of the Metallurgical Laboratory is to provide testing and analysis services with respect to materials both metallic and non metallic. Hardness testing. Mechanical testing. Failure analysis.

Miscellaneous bench top corrosion tests. Document the testing results and services and present the findings to the customer. A degree from a community college in Metallurgy or equivalent is preferred. LPI, UT, and/or MT certification(s) would be considered an asset.

Knowledge of metallurgy, welding inspections, and applicable industry standards, including ASTM testing requirements. Strong practical aptitude with inspection and testing equipment. Proficiency in computer and word-processing applications.
