Description

Midland Transport is currently seeking skilled and Mobile Truck & Trailer Mechanic to join our team in Brampton, ON.

The successful candidate will hold a 310T license and have experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy-duty trucks and trailers. This position is ideal for a self-motivated skilled who enjoys working independently and providing on-site service to customers.

Shift: Monday- Friday – (7am - 4pm)

Responsibilities

- Travel to different locations to diagnose, service, and repair heavy-duty trucks and trailers.
- Perform inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy-duty equipment in the field.
- Complete routine maintenance and preventative service on engines, brakes, suspensions, electrical systems, and other vehicle components.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with applicable regulations, company policies, and industry standards.




- Maintain accurate service records, inspection reports, and repair documentation.
- Identify required parts and materials needed to complete repairs efficiently.
- Communicate professionally with drivers regarding vehicle conditions, repair requirements, and service recommendations.
- Maintain service vehicle inventory, tools, and equipment in an organized and safe manner.
- Report non-conforming situations and safety concerns.
- Other duties as assigned by the Shop Supervisor.

Qualifications

- Truck and Coach Technician 310T License.
- Two or more years of relevant, hands-on experience post-certification is preferred.
- Solid understanding of diesel engines, aftertreatment/electrical diagnostics & air brake systems; experience working on trailers is an asset.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage time while working in the field.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively when required.
