Mutual Fund Operations Specialist

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Mutual Fund Operations Specialist with 2–3 years of banking or financial services experience to support mutual fund trade processing, settlements, transaction investigations, and operational activities.

The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail and accuracy, as the role operates within a high-risk compliance environment. Strong communication skills are also required, as the position involves responding to inquiries and some communication over the phone.

Key Responsibilities

- Process mutual fund trades and settlements accurately and efficiently.
- Investigate and resolve transaction breaks, discrepancies, and exceptions .
- Handle FundSERV transactions and money movements .
- Use MS Excel macros to support operational processes and workflows.
- Provide customer service and respond to internal or external inquiries.
- Communicate effectively with relevant parties, including through phone interactions.
- Maintain compliance with established operational and regulatory procedures .
- Ensure a high level of accuracy and attention to detail when processing transactions in a high-risk compliance environment.
- Adapt quickly to internal systems and technology used within the organization.

Must-Have Qualifications

- 2–3 years of experience in banking, financial services, or mutual fund operations.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel , including:
- Spreadsheets
- Formulas
- Pivot Tables
- Macros
- Proficiency in MS 365 , particularly:
- Excel
- Word
- Outlook




- Experience with mutual fund operations, trade processing, and settlements .
- Experience with FundSERV transactions and money movements .
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Tech-savvy with the ability to quickly learn and navigate internal systems.
- Ability to work effectively within a compliance-focused operational environment.

Preferred Candidate Background The ideal candidate will come from a banking, financial services, or mutual fund operations background and have hands-on experience processing mutual fund trades and settlements, handling FundSERV transactions and money movements, investigating transaction discrepancies, and supporting operational processes through advanced Excel capabilities.
