We are looking for a Service Technician for our Wawa market. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for installing and servicing equipment and tanks based on your certifications and tickets.
The Service
Technician responds to requests based on their certifications for the most difficult and unusual repair situations in recognition of their role as the technical and code expert for the service team.

Technician will also be accountable for upholding the highest standards for safety in the service and handling of propane and for conducting regular vehicle inspections and maintenance.
The Service
Technician will collaborate with a Service Coordinator on a regular and consistent basis for scheduling information and to provide feedback on issues encountered and obtain instructions in relation to day-to-day activities. This role works closely with the Lead Service and Bulk Coordinator and the Service and Bulk Coordinator. Apply advanced technical knowledge in the installation and service of complex residential and commercial propane equipment.
This will include, but is not limited to repairs,
dispenser inspections and re-qualifying cylinders, the installation and service of propane tanks and propane appliances. Provision of preventative maintenance solutions and scheduled maintenance for residential and commercial applications and customers. Safe operation of the crane truck and other service vehicles required to perform tank installations, relocations, and pickups.
Maintain, request, and stock service truck with inventory. Ensure all necessary parts, materials, supplies, and equipment are available to perform daily work orders and meet customer requests. Collect customer signature/stamps and payments for deposit if necessary and utilizing OBTC (On Board Truck Computer) technology.
Apply lock-out procedures in unsafe customer installations. Conduct and maintain the highest standard of safety in all activities and operations ensuring compliance with the regulatory bodies and relevant regulations. This includes conducting and, if applicable, documenting pre and post vehicle inspections, site inspections, and visual tank inspections.
Collaborate with the Service and Bulk Coordinator frequently for routing and scheduling information. Notify the Service and Bulk Coordinator of any service, customer, routing, scheduling,
or safety issues immediately to obtain their guidance and instruction on how to resolve the issue or situation. Obtain their approval for overtime and submit hours worked on a timely basis bi-weekly.
Provide exceptional customer service by promoting the company and its products and services positively and maintaining positive customer relations. Provide training and direction to G3 Service Technicians as required. This focus will be to the benefit of the employee, our customers, and the company. 32.00-$36.00 per hour.
Eligible for paid vacation time. Eligible for Group Benefits plan after 90 days and Group RRSP plan after one year of service. The work schedule would consist of 5 shifts per week at 8 hours per day or 4 shifts per week at 10 hours per day.
Provincial gas technician certificates (valid G2 License through Technical Standards and Safety Authority) and record of training are required. Advanced technical knowledge of propane appliances, equipment, and plant operations. WHMIS and TDG (Transportation of Dangerous Goods) training and certification.
Must be able to pass pre-employment testing including drug and alcohol screening and a physical. Knowledge and ability to use computers, specifically the on-board truck computers. Take pride in maintaining positive customer relationships by professionally representing Sarjeant Propane.
Full training provided for company-specific gas fitting job tasks.
