Changes made to hours of work will follow the terms of the applicable collective agreement, company policy and/or legislation.WHAT YOU’LL DO:The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a Registered Nurse in the Extended Class, who will provide leadership and promote excellence in patient- and family-centered care through expert clinical practice, education and consultation. The NP is responsible for providing direct patient care, coordinating care, discharge planning, and coordinating related community and clinical resources.

The NP will operate in partnership with the multidisciplinary team to provide advanced nursing care, assess, and treat patients needing emergent/urgent care. WHAT YOU’LL BRING:Current Certificate registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario in the extended class requiredCompletion of CNO-approved Nurse Practitioner program requiredBaccalaureate degree in Nursing requiredCurrent certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - requiredSuccessful completion of the College of Nurses (CNO) approved controlled substances education requiredThree to five years related clinical experience requiredRegistered Nurses Association of Ontario (RNAO)
