The Occupational
Therapist or Physiotherapist is an integral member of the clinical care team, providing direct support to the clinic’s Geriatricians and Nurse Practitioners.
The Occupational
Therapist or Physiotherapist will provide comprehensive assessment, consultation and counselling for complex seniors in an interprofessional outpatient clinic setting while developing and maintaining partnerships with our community providers. Registered in good standing with the respective College/Regulatory Body (College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario or College of Physiotherapists of Ontario) Masters of Occupational Therapy or Physical Therapy or equivalent from a recognized university Demonstrates a commitment to delivering patient and family inspired care Possesses working knowledge of geriatric syndromes and community resources applicable to the geriatric population Demonstrates working knowledge of the Regulated Health Professions Act, Mental Health Act, Health Care Consent Act and Substitute Decisions Act Demonstrates commitment to, and understanding of the principles of diversity,
