Liquid Personnel is seeking an experiencedOccupational Therapistto join their remote assessment service. You will triage new referrals, complete telephone/video assessments, prescribe equipment and minor adaptations, and contribute to prevention‑focused work across Adult Social Care. This is a fast‑paced role requiring strong clinical reasoning, risk management, and digital communication skills.
What will your responsibilities be?
- Review referral information to identifypriority, risk, and required OT intervention.
- Carry outremote assessmentsvia telephone and video call.
- Providepreventative advice, guidance, and problem‑solving support to adults, carers, and professionals.
- Escalatesafeguarding concernsin line with statutory procedures.
- Apply strongfunctional questioningand clinical reasoning to assess needs remotely.
- Prescribestandard equipment and minor adaptationsin accordance with service guidelines.
- Makedefensible, evidence‑based clinical decisionsthat reflect risk, strengths, and need.
- Maintainaccurate and timely case records.
- Contribute toprevention‑focused work, including equipment reviews, moving & handling advice, and self‑management strategies.
- Work collaboratively with community health, housing, social work, reablement, voluntary sector teams, and safeguarding partners.
- Participate in supervision, MDT meetings, training, and service‑development activities.
- Promote asolution‑focused and strengths‑based culture.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience working inAdult Social Care,community OT,hospital discharge,reablement, or similar settings (Essential).
- Experience managingcomplex cases and riskin rapid‑paced environments (Essential).
- Experience completingremote assessments (Desirable).
Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong understanding of:
- Care Act 2014
- Housing legislation
- Equipment provision & adaptation pathways
- Strength‑based approaches
- Excellent digital and telephone communication skills.
- Ability to assess risk, problem‑solve creatively, and makesafe, defensible decisions.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
- Effective independent working and strong team-working skills.
- Resilience, flexibility, and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strongmoving & handling knowledge
