Join Monarch House as an Occupational Therapy Assistant and make a difference in children's lives in Surrey. Support developmental interventions for those with autism or motor delays in a community-based environment. As a part-time Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will work directly under the guidance of a Registered Occupational Therapist to implement intervention plans for clients with diverse needs.
Successful candidates will have a post-secondary education in Occupational Therapy and ideally community-based experience.
Your role will foster an engaging and supportive atmosphere while interacting with clients and their families. Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate session progress to families and supervisors
- Implement treatment plans using best practices
- Prepare teaching materials for therapy sessions
- Create a positive and engaging workplace
- Track client progress through data collection
Requirements:
- Post-secondary coursework in Occupational Therapy
- Valid authorization to work in Canada
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an OTA
- Current CPR and First Aid Certification
- Community-based experience is preferred
