Lead impactful community programs as the Director of Operations with the Okanagan Indian Band. This role requires expertise in guiding diverse operations across departments in a culturally aligned framework. As the Director of Operations, you will oversee seven key departments, ensuring culturally grounded service delivery and operational effectiveness.
This position demands solid leadership in performance oversight and collaboration with the Executive Director on strategic initiatives. You will be responsible for monitoring KPIs, developing operational plans, and managing community-focused responses. Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise Operations Department Directors and Managers directly
- Ensure operational plans align with OKIB's strategic priorities
- Monitor KPIs and service delivery outcomes effectively
- Oversee development of Standard Operating Procedures
- Lead responses to community emergencies in coordination Requirements:
- Post-secondary degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 7 years in progressive leadership
- Experience in Indigenous organization contexts
- Knowledge of relevant federal and provincial funding
- Strong understanding of Syilx culture and values Drive operational excellence and cultural alignment in community initiatives at the Okanagan Indian Band.
