Job Summary Reporting to the Manager of Ambulatory Care, the Orthopedic Technologist will work under the direction of the Orthopedic Surgeons, in collaboration with other members of the health care team.
The Orthopedic
Technologist will carry out duties as assigned within the scope of practice.
The Orthopedic
Technologist complies with the Occupational Health and Safety Standards for the hospital and is proactive in promoting a safe work environment. Reporting to the Manager of Ambulatory Care, the Orthopedic Technologist will work under the direction of the Orthopedic Surgeons, in collaboration with other members of the health care team.

Graduate of a recognized Orthopedic Technologist Program - required Current registration with the Canadian Society of Orthopedic Technologists (CSOT) - required Knowledge and use of basic computer programs - preferred Flexible, self-directed and able to work safely and effectively with minimal supervision Knowledge of orthopedic supplies and equipment for a variety of procedures, the positioning of patients, casts and splinting techniques Demonstrates a commitment to participate in Quality Improvement Initiatives/Programs French language skills an asset In accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005, upon request, accommodation will be provided by WRH throughout the recruitment, selection and/or assessment process to applicants with disabilities.
