The Orthopedic Technologist will work under the direction of the orthopedic/plastic surgeons and in collaboration with other members of the health care team of professionals in the fracture clinic.

Accountabilities





- Provides care to clients with orthopedic problems through the application, adjustment and removal of a variety of cast splints and traction fittings following medical orders of the ortho/plastic surgeon or the most responsible physician of the patient
- Grade 12 or equivalent required
- Current registration with Canadian Society of Orthopedic Technologistpreferred
- Three years experienceas ortho technologist preferred
- Good communication skills (verbal and written) required
- Emergency experience required
- Valuable interpersonal skills, ability to work with a multidisciplinary team required
- Knowledge and use of basic computer program preferred

- Good attendance and work record
- May be required to travel between and work at all Osler sites

DURATION: Approximately twelve (12) months or until the previous incumbent returns.

Hours:Currently days, eight (8) hour shiftsincluding weekends and statutory holidays(subject to change in accordance with operational requirements)

Salary

Minimum: $39.90 per hour

Maximum: $48.34 per hour
