Packer

Operator – Day Shift (1 year Contract) This is a one year contract position. The primary role of the Production Packer is to provide critical support in reducing production down time, assisting Production Supervisor or Line Lead Hand in planning and supporting the production staff in a manner that creates engagement and productivity within the team. Supports the Puratos safety and quality system by implementing and following procedures, enforcing GMP requirements, and participating in training.

Practice and enforce QA, HACCP, Food Safety, and SQF 2000 requirements in all aspects of production operation. Assist in the implementation of the company’s health and safety program. Contribute to a continuous improvement setting by recommending measures to improve methods, performance, and quality of processes and suggest changes in working conditions to increase efficiency.

Manual and/or electrical pallet jacks Report all quality and safety issues immediately High School Diploma (OSSD) Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in food manufacturing environments Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment facilitates positive communication between supervisors and production staff. Equipment and mechanical troubleshooting skills. Able to work flexible hours and overtime as required.

Working proficiency with MS Office applications and Internet applications.
