Full
At DermaEnvy Skincare, we believe great aesthetic results start with understanding each client’s individual needs, goals, and skin. Our approach combines clinical expertise, advanced technology, and personalized care to help clients look and feel their best.
Our established Halifax clinic offers a comprehensive range of medical aesthetics services, including cosmetic injectables, advanced skin treatments, and energy-based technologies. This allows our team to take a broader approach to aesthetic care, developing individualized treatment plans that focus on long-term results rather than any single treatment.
As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced, part-time Cosmetic Nurse Injector, preferably with a minimum of two years of hands-on injectable experience, to join our clinical team.
The Opportunity
This is an opportunity for an experienced injector who wants to continue developing their practice, build lasting client relationships, and explore the possibilities of a more comprehensive approach to aesthetic medicine.
At DermaEnvy, we look beyond injectables alone. Our extensive treatment portfolio includes Laser Hair Removal, IPL, Microneedling, Body Sculpting and Skin Tightening, Tattoo Removal, and more.
For the right candidate, this creates opportunities to work collaboratively with our medical aestheticians and other service providers to develop comprehensive treatment plans that combine injectables, regenerative treatments, skin rejuvenation, and advanced aesthetic technologies.
This position will begin with one day per week (approximately 7 hours), providing an opportunity to establish and grow your client base within an established medical aesthetics clinic. As your practice develops and client demand increases, there will be opportunities to expand your schedule and take on additional hours. Our goal is to support the growth of your practice over time while connecting you with DermaEnvy’s established client base and broader range of aesthetic services.
You will also have opportunities to pursue additional training and expand your scope of services as your interests, experience, and proficiency develop.
If you are passionate about delivering excellent clinical outcomes while continuing to grow your skills and client base, we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Perform cosmetic injectable treatments, including neuromodulators, dermal fillers, skin boosters, and PRP, within your training, competence, and authorized scope of practice.
- Conduct thorough aesthetic consultations and develop individualized short- and long-term treatment plans.
- Assess facial anatomy, signs of aging, skin quality, and client goals to recommend appropriate treatment options.
- Build lasting client relationships through ethical recommendations, excellent clinical outcomes, and continuity of care.
- Educate clients about injectable treatments, combination therapies, skincare, and appropriate pre- and post-treatment care.
- Maintain complete, accurate, and timely clinical documentation.
- Recognize contraindications, potential complications, and situations requiring escalation or medical intervention.
- Follow established infection prevention and control procedures and maintain the highest standards of patient safety and professional practice.
- Collaborate with our medical director, fellow injectors, medical aestheticians, and client-care team to support a positive, coordinated client experience.
- Maintain current knowledge of aesthetic medicine, facial anatomy, products, techniques, and emerging treatment options.
- Participate in ongoing education and explore opportunities to expand your treatment scope across DermaEnvy’s advanced technology portfolio.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse registration in Nova Scotia and in positive standing with the applicable regulatory college.
- A minimum of two years of hands-on cosmetic injectable experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience independently administering neuromodulators and dermal fillers.
- Formal education and training certification in cosmetic injectables.
- Strong understanding of facial anatomy, aesthetic assessment, and complication recognition and management.
- Excellent clinical judgment and attention to detail.
- Strong consultation and treatment-planning skills.
- A professional, warm, and confident communication style.
- A commitment to natural-looking, balanced, and medically appropriate aesthetic outcomes.
- The ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative clinical environment.
- An interest in continuing education and professional development.
The Ideal Candidate We are looking for an injector who has developed a strong foundation in aesthetic medicine and is ready to continue growing their practice.
You may already have an established client following, have completed advanced injectable education, or be interested in expanding your knowledge of combination treatments and device-based aesthetics.
You understand that achieving the best results is not always about using more filler or neuromodulator. It is about listening to clients, understanding their goals, and recommending the treatments—or combination of treatments—that best suit their individual needs.
You take pride in building trust, providing thoughtful recommendations, and developing long-term client relationships. You are committed to delivering results while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and client care.
Most importantly, you see aesthetic medicine as an opportunity to help clients achieve their goals through personalized care, education, and a thoughtful, results-oriented approach.
