Full-Time Seasonal
$20–$40 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications and responsibilities
All Ontario Striping is a growing pavement marking and road-maintenance contractor serving the GTA and projects throughout Southern Ontario.
We are continuously looking for good people with experience in pavement marking, line painting, road construction, asphalt works.
You do not need to be an experienced pavement marking operator to apply.
We are interested in candidates at different levels:
- Entry-level road/construction workers who are mechanically inclined and willing to learn
- Workers with previous road construction, asphalt, traffic-control or pavement-maintenance experience
- Experienced pavement marking / line painting operators
- Equipment operators
- Experienced crew leaders, foremen and supervisors
Your position, responsibilities and compensation will depend on your experience and capabilities.
What We Do
Our crews work on commercial, industrial, municipal and infrastructure projects including:
- Parking lots and parking garages
- Municipal roads and roadways
- Warehouses and industrial facilities
- Sports courts and specialty markings
- Pavement marking removal and surface preparation
- Asphalt and pavement-maintenance work
- Power washing cleaning
Our work includes conventional paint, durable pavement markings, thermoplastic, epoxy/cold plastic systems, surface preparation, grinding, water-blasting, crack sealing and other specialized pavement-maintenance operations.
Typical Responsibilities
Depending on your experience, responsibilities may include:
- Pavement line painting and pavement marking
- Operating walk-behind and self-propelled line striping equipment such as Graco LineLazer and LineDriver systems
- Layout and measurement of parking stalls, road markings, symbols, crosswalks and other markings
- Operating specialized pavement marking or road-maintenance equipment
- Thermoplastic, durable marking and specialty coating installation
- Pavement marking removal using grinding, blasting or other equipment
- Surface cleaning and preparation
- Crack sealing and related pavement-maintenance work
- Loading and unloading paint, materials, tools and equipment
- Setting up cones, signs and traffic-control equipment
- Assisting with traffic control and Ontario Book 7 procedures
- Cleaning and maintaining trucks, machines and equipment
- Performing routine equipment maintenance and minor repairs
- Maintaining a safe and organized work site
- Following company and site-specific health and safety requirements
Experienced employees may also be responsible for:
- Reading drawings and project specifications
- Planning layouts and calculating quantities
- Organizing crews and equipment
- Communicating with site supervisors and customers
- Completing projects independently
- Supervising crews and maintaining production and quality standards
Experience Pavement marking experience is an asset, but it is not required for every applicant.

This is not a regular Monday-to-Friday, 9-to-5 position.
Pavement marking is affected by traffic, customer access, weather and construction schedules.
During our busy season, employees must be prepared for:
- Day shifts
- Night shifts
- Early mornings
- Evening work
- Weekend work when required
- Changes to the schedule because of weather or project conditions
- Long shifts during busy periods
- Significant overtime during peak summer months
- Occasional work outside the GTA and overnight travel when required
Some projects can only be completed at night when parking lots, roads, warehouses or commercial properties are available. Reliability and schedule flexibility are therefore very important.
Seasonal Nature of the Work
Our main operating season runs approximately from spring through late fall.
Spring, summer and fall can be extremely busy, with substantial hours and overtime available depending on workload and weather.
Winter is considerably slower. Depending on workload and position, there may be reduced hours or a seasonal layoff during part of the winter.
Employees who experience a seasonal layoff may apply for Employment Insurance if they meet Service Canada eligibility requirements.
This type of schedule can be particularly attractive to people who prefer to work intensively during the construction season and have considerably more personal time during the winter.
Strong employees are invited back for subsequent seasons, and experienced employees have opportunities to advance into operator and crew-lead positions.
What We Are Looking For The most important qualities are:
- Reliable and punctual
- Strong work ethic
- Able to work safely around vehicles, equipment and active construction sites
- Comfortable working outdoors
- Comfortable working both days and nights
- Able to adapt when schedules change
- Physically capable of standing, walking, bending and working for extended periods
- Able to lift and carry approximately 25–30 kg when required
- Able to work effectively as part of a small crew
- Attention to detail
- Willingness to learn
- Ability to take responsibility for equipment and completed work
Mechanical aptitude is a significant advantage. Driver's Licence A valid Ontario G driver's licence and good driving record are strongly preferred.
A driver's licence is required for positions involving operation of company vehicles.
Candidates without a driver's licence may still be considered for certain crew positions if they have relevant pavement-marking or road-construction experience and reliable transportation.
DZ/AZ licences and experience operating commercial or construction vehicles are significant assets.
