Role Description The Payroll Operations Manager is a full-time, remote role responsible for overseeing end-to-end payroll processing for a diverse workforce. This position manages payroll schedules, ensures accurate calculation of wages, bonuses, deductions, and benefits, and maintains compliance with relevant regulations and company policies. The role includes monitoring payroll operations performance, resolving discrepancies, and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

The Payroll Operations

Manager collaborates with HR, finance, and leadership to manage employee benefits data, support audits and reporting, and respond to payroll-related inquiries in a timely and professional manner. The role also involves maintaining secure payroll records, leveraging analytical insights to optimize payroll processes, and supporting system enhancements and vendor relationships related to payroll services.

Qualifications

- Strong expertise in Payroll Services and Payroll Management,



including end-to-end processing, compliance, and reporting.
- Demonstrated experience in Operations Management, with the ability to design, monitor, and improve payroll workflows and procedures.
- Advanced Analytical Skills to interpret payroll data, identify trends, resolve issues, and support decision-making.
- Solid understanding of Employee Benefits, including coordination of benefits data with payroll and support for related inquiries.
- Experience with payroll software and HRIS systems; proficiency with spreadsheets and reporting tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote, cross-functional team environment.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and discretion when handling confidential information.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, human resources, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience; prior experience in a payroll leadership or supervisory role is preferred.

- High annual salary: $95,000–$125,000 CAD, based on qualifications and experience.
