This role is about understanding a business domain, documenting the objects and definitions it works with, and turning that understanding into usable data models. The person works directly with the domain owners, maps their business ontology, designs the data model and the data products, and documents definitions and calculation rules so they can be reused. Design the dimensional data model (facts, dimensions, granularity, keys) and the semantic model used for consumption.

Map business objects to source tables and specify the transformation logic required. Work with data engineering to have the required layers built, and validate the result.

Produce data product documentation: what it contains, how calculations work, how it is consumed.

Contribute to data governance: data ownership and accountability, classification, catalogue, naming conventions and change management. Validate the model with the domain by testing its real requests against the model elements. Bachelor's degree in computer science, business intelligence, data analytics,



management, engineering or a related field.

Minimum 7 years of experience in data modelling and data analysis. Solid SQL and a working understanding of data ingestion and transformation. Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric. Strong communication skills and the ability to explain analytical concepts in plain language.

Assets

Experience in dashboard development and data visualisation (Power BI). Command of Python, Spark and the wider data engineering tooling.

Experience working in a domain-oriented model, where each business domain is accountable for its own data.
