Permanent Instructor, Practical Nurse Diploma - Wetaskiwin (1859) Requisition ID 1859-Posted 09/16/2026- Faculty of Health Studies - Academic - NorQuest College FACULTY OF HEALTH STUDIES NorQuesters are difference makers and we're looking for an Instructor to join our Faculty of Health team at our Wetaskiwin campuses in our Practical Nurse program.This is a permanent role. Graduates of NorQuest College’s Practical Nurse program are also difference makers in terms of the health care that Albertans receive. Join us and help them achieve their goals. Deliver instruction in theory, lab, and clinical settings across diverse healthcare environments using in-person, online, and real-time formats, including day, evening, and weekend assignments. Plan, develop, and adapt instructional materials and teaching methods to meet learning objectives, accreditation standards, and student needs.
Provide skill demonstrations, supervise practice, assess competency, and deliver formative and summative feedback in accordance with program and college policies. Foster a supportive, inclusive learning environment that promotes equity, diversity, student engagement, and success. Demonstrate professional conduct and adhere to health and safety, program, and institutional policies, maintaining all required professional certifications.
Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, committees, and program initiatives, and travel within the Greater Edmonton area as required for clinical instruction. Bachelor's degree in nursing or Diploma in Nursing with a degree in a related applicable health field is required. At least 5 years of full time clinical nursing or nursing education experience (or the equivalent in part-time experience) Previous formal or informal teaching experience is an asset.

Ability to establish and maintain an interactive learning environment with skill practice and be able to apply the basic principles and practices of adult education. Ability to evaluate student performance through various academic methods.
Strong oral communication and writing skills. Passion for Nursing and teaching technical skills to individuals interested in joining the Health Care industry. Previous formal or informal teaching experience is an asset.
