Duties

- Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support to ensure comfort and safety.
- Support clients with medication administration according to care plans and protocols.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental health and reduce feelings of isolation.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a tidy living setting.
- Support clients during outings or appointments, ensuring transportation and safety are prioritized.




- Document care activities accurately in client records and communicate any changes or concerns to supervising healthcare professionals.

Requirements

- Proven experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home care environments.
- Strong background in senior care, caregiving, or working with individuals with disabilities.
- Knowledge of dementia care strategies and experience supporting clients with cognitive impairments.
- Ability to administer medications safely following prescribed instructions.
- Excellent communication skills combined with a caring and empathetic demeanor.
- Physical ability to assist with mobility tasks such as lifting or transferring clients safely.
- Valid certifications in caregiving or personal support work are preferred; ongoing training is encouraged to stay current on best practices.
