Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and protocols
- Support clients with meal preparation, ensuring nutritional needs are met in a safe and hygienic manner
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental health and reduce feelings of isolation
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning living areas to maintain a protected and tidy environment
- Monitor clients’ health status and report any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals promptly
- Support clients with mobility and transfers, utilizing proper techniques to ensure safety for both client and caregiver
Experience
- Prior experience working in assisted living facilities or nursing homes is highly desirable
- Experience caring for seniors or individuals with disabilities, including those with dementia or cognitive impairments
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and safety protocols
- Familiarity with home care practices, including meal preparation and light cleaning tasks
- Demonstrated caregiving skills with a compassionate approach to client needs
- Ability to work independently while following care plans and protocols
