Laurie’s Paws On The Go is expanding in Wasaga Beach, Collingwood and the surrounding area, and we’re looking for another reliable, animal-loving Care Professional to join our local team.

We already have a local Manager/Care Professional in Wasaga Beach and are actively growing our client base. We’re looking for someone who would like to grow with us as more local clients come on board.

This is an independent subcontractor opportunity, not a guaranteed-hours position. Services are offered based on client demand and your availability.

What you may be doing:

Private dog walks — one household at a time

Drop-in pet visits

Feeding and routine pet care

Puppy and senior care

Vacation care

Evening and weekend visits

Overnight pet sitting in clients’ homes

Our service hours are 7 AM–10 PM, and we especially want someone who can offer some evening, weekend and/or overnight availability.

You must

Be 18+

Have a valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle

Have a smartphone with reliable data

Be dependable and comfortable working independently

Be comfortable entering clients’ homes

Follow detailed care and safety instructions

Communicate professionally and reliably

Be comfortable working outdoors in different weather conditions

Be willing to obtain a police record check

Be willing to obtain appropriate pet-care liability insurance

Experience with dogs is required. Experience with large dogs, rescues, nervous/reactive dogs, puppies, seniors or pets requiring additional care is a strong asset.

Skilled pet-care experience is great, but it isn't the only thing we look at. Someone with strong hands-on animal experience, good judgment, reliability and a willingness to learn may also be a great fit.

Compensation

30-minute service: $15

45-minute service: $20

60-minute service: $25

Overnight compensation varies by booking

We use Time To Pet for scheduling, care instructions, GPS tracking and client visit reports.

This is a great fit for someone looking for flexible pet-care work who wants the opportunity to take on additional clients as our Wasaga Beach/Collingwood territory continues to grow.
