Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm Our client is looking for a skilled and dependable Maintenance Mechanic to join their mechanical team in Richmond, BC. You'll be responsible for maintaining, repairing, troubleshooting, and overhauling a wide range of industrial equipment and mechanical systems. Install, align, maintain, repair, and overhaul industrial machinery and equipment.
Troubleshoot mechanical issues and take corrective action at various sites. Maintain and service large pumps, diesel and gas engines, compressors, blowers, conveyors, turbines, valves, cranes, heat exchangers, and related equipment. Install, maintain, and service valves, meters, piping systems, and conveyor systems.
Perform machine fitting, pipefitting, minor maintenance welding, and layout work. Maintain accurate records of completed work and equipment maintenance. Use computerized maintenance systems (CMMS) and predictive maintenance technologies.
Provide technical guidance and training to junior Mechanics and Operators.
Maintain parts and materials inventories as required. Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and applicable WCB regulations.
Minimum 4 years of relevant mechanical maintenance experience.
Experience with large pumps, diesel engines, dual-fuel engines, and mechanical installations. Skilled in machine fitting, welding, pipefitting, and reading blueprints. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions with minimal supervision.
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to work with CMMS and predictive maintenance systems. Reliable set of personal hand tools. Ability to work shifts as required. C. driver's license.
