Poultry Barn Worker – Egg Collection

We are a family-run poultry farm in the Annapolis Valley looking for a reliable, hardworking person to join our team in our breeder chicken barn.

This is a long-term, part time position, working approximately 4–5 days per week from 8:00 AM to 1:30 PM. The daytime schedule could be a great fit for someone looking for consistent hours while still having their afternoons available, including parents with school-aged children.

Responsibilities

Collecting eggs throughout the breeder barn

Sorting and handling eggs carefully

Keeping egg collection and work areas clean and organized

Assisting with general barn duties as needed

Monitoring the birds and reporting anything unusual

Following farm biosecurity and animal-care procedures

We’re looking for someone who:

Is dependable and punctual

Is comfortable working around chickens

Is able to work independently and stay on task

Is comfortable with a physically active job that involves walking, bending and being on your feet





Takes pride in doing a job thoroughly

Is looking for steady, long-term employment

Previous farm or poultry experience is an asset, but not required. We are happy to train the right person.

Schedule

Approximately 4–5 days per week, and one weekend per month.

8:00 AM – 1:30 PM

Because livestock require care every day, some weekend and holiday availability may be required depending on the schedule.
