Powder Coater / Lead Hand

We are currently hiring 2 experienced Powder Coaters asap to start today and tomorrow to join our team. We are also open to considering an experienced Lead Hand with previous supervisory or team-lead experience in a manufacturing or production environment.

Schedule

Full-Time | Monday to Friday

Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Evening Shift: 4:00 PM – 11:00 PM

Candidates should indicate their preferred shift when applying.

Duties & Responsibilities

- Prepare surfaces for coating by cleaning, sanding, masking, and completing other required preparation.
- Apply powder coating using spray guns and related equipment, ensuring even coverage and a smooth, consistent finish.
- Set up and safely operate powder coating equipment, power tools, and hand tools.
- Inspect completed products and perform quality checks to ensure finishes meet company standards.
- Identify coating or finishing defects and complete touch-ups or corrections when required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Work efficiently with team members to meet daily production targets while maintaining quality standards.
- Assist with material handling and other production duties as required.

Additional Lead Hand Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day direction and support to production team members.
- Help coordinate workflow and daily production priorities.
- Monitor quality and productivity throughout the shift.




- Assist with training and supporting new or less-experienced employees.
- Communicate production issues, equipment concerns, and workflow needs to management.

Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Powder Coater, Industrial Painter, or in a similar manufacturing/metal-finishing position is strongly preferred.
- Experience using powder coating spray equipment is an asset.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with measurements and mixing ratios.
- Comfortable using power tools and hand tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production setting.
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Lead Hand candidates: Previous supervisory, team-lead, or production leadership experience is an asset.

Compensation $19.00–$21.00 per hour, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.
