As a Prep Cook at Chartwell, you’ll play an important role in preparing meals that make our residents feel at home. By supporting the kitchen team with meal preparation, food safety, and cleanliness, you’ll help provide a dining experience that nourishes both body and spirit. Help prepare and cook meals that meet residents’ dietary needs Keep the kitchen clean and organized, including dishes and work surfaces Support special event food preparation to highlight Chartwell’s hospitality Follow safe food handling, health, and safety practices, and store supplies properly Receive and store food and supplies, while completing daily temperature checks for fridges, freezers, and storerooms 1-2 years of experience in a volume food preparation environment, ideally in retirement, long-term care, or hospitality ~ High school graduate or equivalent education ~ Food Safe Level 1 certificate (Level 2 preferred) ~ Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and attention to detail ~ Team player with strong customer service and clear communication skills A warm, welcoming culture inspired by our vision of making people’s lives better, driven by our mission to create happy, healthy, and meaningful lives for our residents Flexibility to work various shifts,
