Duties

- Prepare ingredients by chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning to meet daily menu needs
- Undertake basic cooking duties such as reducing sauces, parboiling food etc.
- Prepare simple dishes such as salads, entrées etc
- Assist in assembling dishes according to recipes and presentation standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, utensils, and storage areas
- Follow food safety protocols and proper handling procedures at all times
- Support cooking processes by monitoring timers, temperatures, and cooking stages under supervision




- Restock supplies and ingredients to ensure the kitchen runs efficiently throughout service
- Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash etc
- Occasionally takes on extra or other duties as required
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal preparation and excellent service delivery

Skills

- Prior food service experience, especially in restaurant or kitchen settings, is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of food handling safety standards and proper sanitation practices
- Ability to perform food preparation tasks quickly and accurately under pressure
- Familiarity with basic cooking techniques and meal assembly processes
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure consistency in food quality and presentation
- Good communication skills for effective teamwork in a busy workplace
- Enthusiasm for learning new culinary skills and advancing within the food industry

Pay: $20.00 per hour
