Wesgar is seeking an early-career Process & Data Mapping Associate to analyze and improve how work, materials, and information flow through our production and warehouse operations. Working primarily on the shop floor, you will observe and map existing processes, analyze cycle times and operational data, identify waste and bottlenecks, and help design, test, and implement practical process improvements. Create process maps, flowcharts, and other visual documentation showing process steps, handoffs, decision points, and information/material flow.
Data Analysis & Reporting Collect, organize, and analyze operational and production data from multiple departments.
Maintain
Excel reports, process trackers, and dashboards. Validate data accuracy and investigate discrepancies. Use operational data to support process analysis, identify trends, and measure improvements.
Continuous
Improvement & Coordination Support process improvement and operational efficiency projects across Production and Warehouse. Support root cause analysis and corrective actions. Present process findings and proposed improvements clearly to stakeholders.
Support implementation and follow-up of approved future-state processes. 1–3 years of relevant experience in process redesign, process engineering, continuous improvement, operational excellence, or a related field. Relevant co-op and internship experience will be considered. ~ Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline, or a relevant Engineering Technology diploma. Students nearing graduation may also be considered, depending on their experience and availability. ~ Previous exposure to process improvement, workflow analysis, or operational improvement projects is required.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Value Stream Mapping, root cause analysis, or similar methodologies is an asset. ~ Previous hands-on experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, production, or other industrial environment is strongly preferred. ~ Strong Microsoft Excel skills and comfort working with operational data are required. ~ A valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle are required for travel between our Port Coquitlam and Pitt Meadows locations.
