Overview Arcane Fibre Works is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Production Assistant to join our studio team. This temporary position (3–4 weeks, with potential to extend through February) will focus directly on fulfilling customer service orders for yarn twisting and yarn caking.

The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, and comfortable working with fiber products in a steady, hands-on studio environment. No prior dyeing or professional yarn-winding experience is necessary—full training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

- Yarn Caking & Twisting Services: Operate yarn winders, swifts, and twisting equipment to process customer orders efficiently and accurately.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect finished yarn cakes and twists to ensure proper tension, structure,



and freedom from tangles or defects before shipping or pickup.
- Order Processing & Packaging: Label, twist, cake, and package finished yarns for customer orders and online inventory fulfillment.
- Workspace & Tool Maintenance: Keep yarn winding stations, swifts, and tools clean, calibrated, and organized.
- Inventory & Log Tracking: Assist with tracking order fulfillment, updating production logs, and monitoring packaging supplies.
- General Studio Support: Assist with lightweight inventory restocking and maintaining a clean work environment.

Qualifications
- Excellent attention to detail and care when handling delicate yarns and fibers.
- Comfortable operating tabletop winding/caking tools and doing repetitive, hands-on work.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light lifting (up to 25 lbs).
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well independently and with team members.
- No prior experience required — comprehensive training provided.
- Personal interest or experience in yarn crafts (knitting, crochet, spinning, weaving) is a bonus!

Work Schedule
- Employee Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Hours: 30–40 hours per week
