Manufacturing Supervisor (Foundry Operations) Location: Port Hope, Ontario Work Arrangement: Onsite, rotating shifts (6a-2p, 2p-10p, 10p-6a) What we do at Weir We are a global leader in mining technology for a sustainable future. You’ll work with purpose, learn every day and help shape a more sustainable future. Supervise day-to-day foundry operations ensuring safe, effective, and compliant production processes across multiple shifts. You will be hands-on, spending approximately 60% of your time on the floor and 40% in the office.

Team Development: Lead, coach, and develop Team Leaders and production employees to build a high-performing, engaged workforce.

Production Management: Plan, coordinate, and monitor labor and resources to meet production schedules and operational targets. Daily tasks include conducting shift-start safety talks, delegating work, and sending end-of-shift reports outlining safety, production, and equipment status.

Continuous Improvement: Apply Lean manufacturing principles and structured problem-solving to identify root causes, improve processes, and sustain operational improvements.



Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and quality teams to resolve operational challenges. Maintain vigilance on safety and PPE compliance throughout shifts. 5+ years of supervisory experience in heavy manufacturing environments such as foundry, construction, mining, or heavy industrial sectors ~ Strong knowledge and application of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies ~ Post-secondary education in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or related field Green Belt Six Sigma certification or equivalent continuous improvement training Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle for production tracking and reporting Previous foundry operations experience We live our values we think safety first, do the right thing, respect each other, aim high, and delight our customers.
