Role Description The Project Manager Database Operations Transformation role is a remote contract position responsible for overseeing end-to-end project delivery focused on database operations modernization and related process improvements. This role involves coordinating cross-functional teams, managing project plans, tracking milestones, and ensuring timely completion of transformation initiatives aligned with business and technical requirements.

The Project

Manager will collaborate with stakeholders to define scope, manage risks and dependencies, monitor quality of deliverables,



and maintain clear communication through status reports and governance meetings. Daily activities include organizing workstreams, expediting critical tasks, aligning inspection and validation efforts, and optimizing logistics and resource allocation for database operations. The role also requires driving continuous improvement, documenting best practices, and supporting change management activities to ensure successful adoption of new tools, processes, and platforms.

Qualifications

- Project Management skills, including experience managing complex technical or database-related transformation initiatives, defining scope, schedules, budgets, and risk mitigation plans.
- Expeditor and Expediting skills to prioritize tasks, remove blockers, and ensure timely delivery of critical activities across multiple teams and vendors.
- Inspection skills to oversee quality checks, validation of deliverables, and adherence to technical, operational, and compliance standards.
- Logistics Management skills to coordinate resources, environments, data migration windows, and cross-team dependencies for database operations.
- Strong understanding of database operations, data migration, and transformation projects; experience with cloud data platforms or up-to-date data architectures is beneficial.

- Proficiency in standard project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Kanban, MS Project or equivalent), and experience working in distributed, remote teams.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business
