Property Telephone Claims

Representative - I As a Property Telephone Claims Representative - I, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting our claims operations by: Investigating, evaluating, reserving, negotiating, and resolving assigned low‑value property claims such as mysterious disappearance, minor theft or vandalism, and limited sewer backup losses. Utilizing remote investigation techniques to gather claim details, secure statements, review estimates, and negotiate fair settlements. Communicating coverage decisions clearly to customers and brokers, both verbally and in writing.

Partnering closely with customers and service providers to ensure timely and satisfactory claim resolution.



Explain claims process in a clear and concise manner to the policyholder to ensure efficient claims experience. Review complex policy wordings to determine if losses are covered.

Communicate verbally and in writing to policyholders and brokers coverage positions. Negotiate settlements based on results of loss investigation, coverage analysis and damage assessment within authority limits. Minimum of one-year experience in the insurance industry, service industry or transferable technical position (construction, automobile repair, or agriculture).

Proficiency in the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams). Adaptability and a continuous improvement mindset. Prior experience with Guidewire Suite considered an asset. This role requires a hybrid work arrangement and is not intended to be fully remote.

Individual pay is based on additional factors including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.
