Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business and technical requirements to identify testing needs.
- Create and maintain test scenarios, test cases, test data, and test scripts.
- Execute functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing.
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects using tools such as Jira or similar platforms.
- Re-test defects after fixes and verify that issues are resolved.
- Participate in requirement reviews, sprint planning, stand-ups, and release activities.
- Collaborate with developers and business stakeholders to investigate and resolve issues.
- Perform API, database, and UI testing where required.
- Support test automation initiatives and maintain automated test scripts when applicable.
- Prepare test execution reports and communicate testing status, risks, and defects.
- Ensure software releases meet defined quality and acceptance criteria.
- Contribute to improving QA processes, standards, and best practices.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC.
- Hands-on experience with manual software testing.
- Good knowledge of test case design and defect lifecycle.
- Experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar.
- Understanding of SQL and database testing.
- Basic knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Solid attention to detail and communication skills.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar automation tools.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and version control systems such as Git.
- Knowledge of performance and security testing concepts.
- Experience testing web and/or mobile applications.
