Presidential Kids Academy Childcare Centre
Penticton
Presidential Kids Academy is looking for a highly detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Quality Assurance & Centre Standards Coordinator.
This is a hands-on, mobile position that involves visiting our childcare centres to ensure they are clean, organized, visually appealing, well maintained, and meeting our high standards for quality and licensing compliance.
We are looking for someone who naturally notices the little things—whether it's a missing photo on a bulletin board, a toy shelf that needs attention, a stain on a carpet, seasonal decorations that haven't been updated, or something that simply doesn't look the way it should.
What You Will Do
You will regularly visit our childcare centres and conduct quality assurance checks, including:
- Inspecting the overall cleanliness, organization and presentation of each centre.
- Identifying aesthetic deficiencies and coming up with practical solutions to improve the appearance of the centre.
- Checking bulletin boards, displays and children's artwork to ensure they are current, complete and visually appealing.
- Ensuring shelves, toys, learning materials and classroom areas are properly organized and maintained.
- Noticing missing, damaged or worn items and identifying what needs to be replaced or repaired.
- Checking carpets, walls, doors, furniture and other visible areas for stains, damage or items requiring attention.
- Ensuring seasonal decorations are appropriate, current and removed or replaced at the appropriate time.
- Reviewing menus and confirming that the food being served matches the posted menu.
- Reviewing centre files and documentation for completeness and consistency.
- Conducting quality assurance checks related to childcare licensing requirements.
- Identifying areas that may require corrective action and following up to ensure deficiencies are addressed.
- Working with centre staff and management to maintain consistent standards across all locations.
- Taking photographs or notes of deficiencies when required and tracking items through to completion.
- Helping develop and maintain checklists and quality standards for all centres.
- Bringing forward ideas to improve the overall look, organization and operation of our centres.
What We Are Looking For The ideal candidate is:
- Extremely detail-oriented and notices things others overlook.
- Organized, reliable and able to work independently.
- Comfortable travelling between multiple childcare centres.
- A problem solver who doesn't just identify a problem but looks for a solution.
- Confident communicating with centre staff and management.
- Able to respectfully address deficiencies and ensure follow-up occurs.
- Comfortable reviewing files, documentation and licensing requirements.
- Someone who takes pride in cleanliness, organization and presentation.
- Able to prioritize tasks and manage multiple centres.
- Skilled, dependable and approachable.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle required.
- Experience working in a childcare setting is strongly preferred.
- ECE certification is required.
- Knowledge of childcare licensing requirements is considered a strong asset.
- Previous experience in quality assurance, compliance, childcare management, inspections or a similar role is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and travel between locations.
This Position Is Perfect For Someone Who... You are the person who walks into a room and immediately notices that something is out of place.
You notice the missing picture on the bulletin board.
You notice that the seasonal decorations should have been taken down.
You notice the toy shelf has missing pieces.
You notice the carpet stain that everyone else has walked past.
You notice when something doesn't look right—and, more importantly, you think about how to fix it.
If you enjoy creating beautiful, organized, well-run environments and have a strong eye for detail, we want to hear from you.
Join Presidential Kids Academy and help us maintain a consistently high standard of quality across all of our centres.
To apply: Please submit your resume and a brief description of why you would be a good fit for this position.
