OrganizationalUnit: Canadian Photonics Fabrication Centre Due to the nature of the work and operational requirements, this position will require full-time physical presence at the NRC work location identified. Applicants must demonstrate within the content of their application that they meet the following screening criteria in order to be given further consideration as candidates: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science or a related field. Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering would be considered an asset.

Six Sigma black belt accreditation (or equivalent) would be considered an asset. Extensive experience in developing, maintaining and continuously improving formal Quality Systems (such as ISO9001:2008), preferably in a Research and Development (R&D;) and/or manufacturing workplace. Extensive* experience in project planning and management.

Experience in a semiconductor wafer processing environment would be considered an asset. *Knowledge of ISO 9001 series of quality standards

- Knowledge of statistical process control, use of control charts, DOE and DFM methodologies
- Knowledge of cost engineering and supply chain management
- Knowledge of project management principles and practices




- Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques and processes.
