SEN Tutor - Centre & Home Tuition - Mornings - Part-Time - March, Peterborough

Luma Education Recruitment are currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced SEND Tutor to provide personalised education and support to children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

This is a part-time position, working 5 days per week, Monday to Friday, from 9:00am to 12:00pm.

The successful candidate will work across a number of different locations, delivering tuition both from education centres and within pupils' homes. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher, tutor or education professional who enjoys working independently and adapting their approach to meet the needs of individual learners.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver personalised 1:1 and small-group tuition to children and young people with SEND.
- Provide education sessions at designated centres and within pupils' homes.
- Travel between different locations as required.




- Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
- Adapt teaching strategies, resources and activities to suit different abilities.
- Support pupils who may have experienced barriers to accessing mainstream education.
- Help learners develop confidence, independence and positive attitudes towards education.
- Work towards individual learning objectives and educational targets.
- Monitor and record pupil progress.
- Provide appropriate feedback following tuition sessions.
- Build positive and professional relationships with pupils and families.
- Maintain a calm, supportive and structured learning setting.
- Liaise with parents, carers, schools and other professionals where appropriate.
- Complete relevant session records and administrative tasks.
