Join the City of Burnaby as a Records Management Specialist in the Freedom of Information, Privacy, and Records unit. This role plays a crucial part in enhancing corporate records practices through policy development and staff training. This position involves skilled records and information management while ensuring compliance with related laws and regulations.

You will develop training on best practices, conduct audits, and collaborate with departments to support the Enterprise Content Management System. Significant independence is required, with supervisory input on policy matters. Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement records management policies and procedures
- Deliver training to staff on records management best practices




- Conduct compliance audits and assist in disposition procedures
- Prepare reports and maintain documentation on records management
- Build relationships with City departments for ongoing records management support Requirements:
- University degree in a related field
- Specialized courses in records management or IT
- Knowledge of Local Government Act and related privacy legislation
- Experience with SharePoint Online is an asset
- Valid BC Driver’s Licence required Elevate records management through policy development and independence in decision-making at the City of Burnaby.
