We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Referrals Clerk to join our busy Family Medicine Clinic. This role is essential to ensuring referrals are accurately tracked, completed, and followed through in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities

- Track and manage all outgoing referrals to specialist offices
- Redirect referrals as required
- Liaise with specialist offices regarding referral status, appointments, and missing information
- Send medical records and supporting documentation as required
- Notify patients of referral appointments and provide clear instructions
- Track down missing or incomplete information on behalf of physicians
- Maintain accurate referral documentation within the EMR
- Ensure referrals are followed up on and not delayed or lost
- Assist with booking appointments and patient inquiries

Qualifications & Skills

- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Pleasant, professional phone manner
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple referrals and competing priorities




- Solid follow-up and problem-solving skills
- Experience in a medical office or referral role is an asset
- EMR experience and medical terminology knowledge preferred
