Utilizing the nursing process to provide safe, competent care to assigned patients; observing and enforcing aseptic technique and infection control principles required in the prevention of nosocomial and communicable diseases; developing a plan of care for patients in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team

- Flexibility to float between Medical and Med/Surg Units and performing other related duties as assigned. Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (in good standing)
- Coronary Care I course (or equivalent) required OR must enroll in the next available Lakeridge Health Telemetry course and successfully complete upon hire
- Significant recent general medical, in-patient surgical nursing or equivalent related experience
- Sound knowledge and application of nursing skills as listed in the C.Standards of Nursing Practice
- Demonstrated ability to perform appropriately in emergency situations
- Physically capable of lifting, turning, transferring patients manually and with mechanical aids

- Must have a satisfactory performance record
