The Registered Practical

Nurse (RPN) reports to the Health and Wellness Manager and is responsible for the day-to-day safety and provision of personal care and services for seniors. By promoting the values, goals, and philosophy of the Home, the RPN effortlessly/consistently engages in meaningful interactions with residents, families, and team members. Provides direction and supervision to PSWs/team members, Responsible for ongoing assessment of resident care needs, monitoring and reporting changes, Participates in the development and modification of resident’s plan of care.

Accountable for the medication delivery system for the Residents, Liaisons with Residents, families, and outside agencies as required, Respects the Residents’ Bill of Rights, Liaisons with the Resident’s physician as necessary, Aware of role and responsibilities under the Occupational Health & Safety Act,



Current Certificate of Competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Practical Nurse or a Registered Practical Nurse registered with a regulatory authority in a Canadian jurisdiction other than Ontario and holds in that jurisdiction the equivalent of a certificate of registration authorizing independent practice in Ontario as of right exemption Bill 60, Experience in Retirement or long-term care preferred, Ability to walk, stand, carry equipment, and ability to lift and transfer Residents, Basic CPR and First aid preferred, Must have a clear vulnerable sector screen, no older than 6 months, TB test results less than 6 months old, must be able to provide three supervisory reference Competitive wages Support for personal and skilled growth As part of our recruitment process, we may use secure, limited AI tools to assist with administrative tasks such as organizing applications or analyzing role alignment.
