Working together with its research institute, the University of Ottawa, and other partners, the hospital is continually gaining national and international recognition for high-quality patient care, teaching and research, while striving to meet the needs of the culturally diverse community we serve. Current

Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario

- Three (3) years recent cardiovascular related nursing experience;

Experience in counselling and behaviour change

- Recent experience in community and health and/or outpatient setting
- Demonstrated knowledge of principles of health education, health promotion, risk reduction and behaviour change strategies and systems




- Demonstrated proficiency with computer software packages including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Excellent organizational and planning skills
- Proficiency in English and French oral expression (level 4 - advanced) and comprehension (level 4 - advanced).

Hospital uses a 5-level language proficiency scale to define the required level of language skills in English and in French for positions at the Hospital, and to evaluate job candidate language skills. Language proficiency requirements are based on the nature of the position and the level of interaction with French and English speaking clients. Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Nursing Degree

- Previous experience in working in health promotion
- Previous experience in telephone counselling.
