East Edmonton Urgent Care Centre is growing and hiring Registered Nurses who prefer evenings, nights, weekends, and work that makes a real difference. At this time, patient intake hours are Monday to Friday from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM, and Saturdays and Sundays from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM. While intake ends at those times, care often continues beyond intake hours, and some shifts may extend as late as 2:00 AM to ensure patients already in the clinic receive safe, complete, and uninterrupted care.
This is an urgent care environment intended for non- emergent conditions; Nurses must be prepared to quickly recognize deterioration, act decisively, and elevate care appropriately when situations evolve. No two shifts are the same, and flexibility, adaptability, and confidence are essential. This role is well suited to nurses who enjoy variety, embrace the unexpected, and take pride in seeing care through from intake to resolution.
Care decisions are made collaboratively within a robust, supportive interdisciplinary team where nursing expertise is respected and valued. You’ll thrive here if you are committed to patient centred care, confident in your clinical judgment, and motivated by the impact you make when timely care matters most. Your urgent and emergency care experience is put to meaningful use; As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities and populations, while taking necessary steps to ensure their safety and well-being.
In your role, you will utilize nursing processes, through critical thinking, problem solving and decision making, as well as teach, counsel and advocate on behalf of patients and their families. You will play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion and maintenance. You will provide safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values.PLEASE NOTE: Provisional Permit holders will be paid $40.76 to $55.79 per hour.
Upon obtaining a full practice permit,
the rate of pay will be adjusted to the applicable Registered Nurse rate in accordance with UNA Article 25.02(b)(i) or (ii), as applicable.
