Status : Full Time Providence Care Hospital OPSEU 4104 Service Clerical Posting Period: As a member of an inter-professional team and working under full scope of practice, the role of the Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) at Providence Care is to deliver safe, effective, patient centred care to assigned patients in a non-acute setting as outlined by hospital policies and procedures and the Standards of Nursing Practice of the College of Nurses of Ontario. The RPN will assist patients and their caregivers to manager clinical conditions and transitions and enhance quality of life by meeting the physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs of each person. Active, unrrestricted license to practice with the College of Nurses of Ontario Medication Certificate dated after 1985 which meets the requirements of the Ontario College of Nurses, if graduated before 1985 Completing a nursing history based on information received from the patient, family and other sources.

Developing and recording a goal oriented nursing care plan focused on immediate needs in collaboration with the patient.
