The Rehab Portal is looking for a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to help facilitate our new Breathe Better Social Hours - free monthly virtual gatherings for people living with chronic lung conditions.

These sessions are designed to create a welcoming space where people can connect with others who understand what they’re going through, share experiences, ask questions, and learn from one another.

About the roleThe RRT will facilitate a 60-minute virtual Social Hour once per month via Zoom. Sessions will be lightly structured, with a monthly conversation topic, time for general questions and discussion, and smaller breakout groups where participants can connect more casually.

This is not a formal presentation or educational webinar. We’re looking for someone who can help create a relaxed, supportive setting while providing appropriate respiratory expertise when questions arise.

Responsibilities will include

- Facilitating one 60-minute Breathe Better Social Hour each month
- Introducing a simple monthly topic and conversation prompts
- Moderating group discussion and helping participants feel included
- Answering general respiratory health and pulmonary rehabilitation questions within appropriate professional boundaries
- Helping guide conversations around living with chronic lung conditions
- Providing light input into future monthly topics based on participant interests
- Completing approximately an additional hour of preparation/coordination per month

ScheduleThe commitment is approximately 2 hours per month, including one 60-minute virtual Social Hour and light,



flexible preparation.

Based on feedback from our community, our preferred session time is the first Tuesday of every month at 9 AM PST / 12 PM EST. However, there may be some flexibility based on the successful candidate’s availability.

We’re hoping to establish a consistent monthly schedule that works well for both our community and the RRT facilitating the sessions.

Who we're looking for

We're looking for a Registered Respiratory Therapist who is personable, compassionate and comfortable facilitating virtual group conversations.

Experience in pulmonary rehabilitation, chronic respiratory disease, patient education or community-based care would be an asset. Most importantly, we're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys connecting with people and can make participants feel comfortable sharing their experiences and asking questions.
