Join the dynamic Regulation team at the Law Society of Alberta as a Regulation Counsel. This role involves addressing complex legal issues across various regulatory departments while adhering to the Legal Profession Act and relevant guidelines. As a vital member of the Regulation team, this counsel position focuses primarily on Conduct matters.

You will engage with attorneys, evaluate conduct per established rules, and recommend disciplinary actions. Your legal expertise will help promote the integrity of the legal profession throughout Alberta. Key Responsibilities:

- Analyze complex legal issues affecting lawyer careers
- Prepare opinions and recommendations for Conduct Committee Panels
- Attend hearings and provide legal support throughout the process




- Advise on membership issues and oversee student-at-law applications
- Support Trust Safety compliance and risk management strategies

Requirements:

- Law degree and Bar admission are essential
- 5+ years of relevant legal experience is mandatory
- Strong communication skills for team collaboration
- Proven ability to manage workloads under pressure
- High ethical standards and qualified demeanor
