As a Relief Residential Counsellor, you will work in various community settings, enhancing the quality of life for adults with developmental disabilities.
Your role involves planning and implementing supportive programs that promote independence and meet physical, emotional, and psychological needs. Building strong therapeutic relationships and maintaining daily logs are key responsibilities in this rewarding position. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement goal-centered programs for adults
- Promote independence and high quality of living
- Provide support for Service Users' emotional and psychological needs
- Assist with personal care and meal preparation
- Ensure accurate recording of daily logs and reports
Requirements:
- Developmental Social Worker Diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum one year experience with vulnerable populations
- Current First Aid and CPR certification needed
- Valid Ontario Class “G” Driver’s license required
- Successful Criminal Records Check with vulnerable sector screening
