Tailings Research & Reporting Specialist At Canadian Natural, we are proud to be a leader in Canada's energy industry. We are looking for a Geochemist or Biochemist that will provide technical expertise to support tailings and closure planning activities and surface and ground water monitoring for the Horizon Oil Sands site.
You will report to the supervisor of Tailing Research and Reporting where you will provide technical oversight of geochemistry-related research including data management and analytics; design and manage field monitoring programs to support mine, tailings and closure plan optimizations and commitments. Please note, this position will require frequent travel to the field Interface and communicate with multi-discipline teams of engineers, scientists and operations teams in Mining, Bitumen Production, Environmental Operations, Regulatory, and Stakeholder Relations teams Provide technical input for multi-disciplinary technical reports, regulatory submissions and applications Provide oversight and project management for tailings research and/or field monitoring studies, including scope development, resultant data management and analytics, budget and schedules. Field presence is required for this position to support all field monitoring programs Provide reviews of technical reports,
