Position Title: Program Support Officer Status: PT Support (Appendix D) Contract Progression through the payband is in accordance with the increments in the payband as outline in the Full-Time Support Staff Collective Agreement based on actual service in the payband. Humber’s Longo Faculty of Business delivers high-demand programs that will take graduates into current, relevant, and future careers.

We offer over 50 programs in a wide range of fields covering the broad spectrum of business in the evolving marketplace. Not only do we offer traditional business courses such as finance, accounting, administration, human resources, and marketing, but we also offer culinary, aesthetics, cosmetics, fashion, and law with credentials ranging from diploma to degree to graduate certificates. Entrepreneurship training is integrated into all programs.

About the Program Support Officer Role: The Program Support Officer will provide direct support to Academic Leadership in the Longo Faculty of Business while providing a comprehensive range of support services to the students, professors, program coordinators (PCs), external stakeholders, in their assigned cluster of programming.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: administrative, program, financial, human resources, student, marketing, and inter-departmental support.

The Program Support

Officer also acts as a resource to students, professors, PCs, and administrators on the application of the College’s academic policies and procedures and thus, will continue to develop opportunities that directly impact the learning environment. you thrive on improving productivity and quality that contribute to team success! The successful candidate will hold a three (3) year diploma or degree or equivalent in the fields of Business, Communications, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Human Resources, Information Systems, Marketing, or other related field of study The incumbent will have a minimum of three (3) years of progressive administrative or student advising experience in a post-secondary environment. Compiling and analyzing research-based data from various sources, producing reports, and identifying trends from data to develop solutions and strategies experience Supporting curriculum planning, academic program delivery,



and with advising students on course and program selection experience Experience with a variety of communication platforms and with proof reading communications Experience interpreting policies and procedures Proficiency with Microsoft Office(Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, and PowerPoint)and Adobe Acrobat Proven ability to work independently with minimum supervision as well as to work in a team environment Ability to use office equipment (telephone, photocopier, printer, fax) and troubleshoot minor technical problems Occupational Health and Safety training is considered an asset An opportunity to be a part of building Humber's future.
