Our partner is looking for a Clinical Support Nurse based in Canada.

The Clinical Support

Nurse will provide essential clinical and administrative support to a remote healthcare team during weekends, holidays, and periods of increased patient volume. You will help ensure laboratory results, pharmacy communications, referrals, and patient follow-ups are handled accurately and efficiently. You will work closely with physicians, Physician Assistants, Clinical Associates, Patient Care Coordinators, and referral staff to maintain continuity of care.

This position offers flexible scheduling in a fully remote environment, with opportunities to contribute across evening, daytime, weekend, and holiday coverage. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, adapting quickly to changing priorities, and using digital healthcare and collaboration tools. As part of a growing virtual care environment, you will contribute directly to safe, accessible, and coordinated patient care across Canada.

Review incoming laboratory and other clinical results, identifying urgent or emergent findings that require physician or on-call physician review. Coordinate appropriate follow-up with physicians and other members of the care team, including Physician Assistants, Clinical Associates, and Patient Care Coordinators. Sort, organize, and file clinical results within the electronic medical record (EMR).

Assist with organizing and processing incoming patient referrals. Accurately document clinical and administrative actions taken in patient charts. Provide additional support to Physician Assistants, Clinical Associates, and referral staff as required.

Participate in staff and medical meetings and contribute to effective team communication. Current nursing licensure in a Canadian province or territory; Registered Nurse (RN), Registered Practical Nurse (RPN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) qualification preferred. Strong clinical knowledge, medical terminology knowledge, and clinical judgment.

Understanding of confidentiality and the appropriate handling of protected health information in accordance with applicable HIPAA, PHIPA, and PIPEDA requirements. Awareness of multiple medical specialties and the ability to work effectively across different clinical contexts. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, with fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.

French or Spanish bilingual capabilities are considered an asset but are not required. Strong computer literacy, including experience with tools such as Gmail, Slack, Zoom, Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, Calendar, Adobe, and EMR-related software. HIPAA compliance certification and a Medical Terminology Certificate are desirable.

Part-time contractor position, with approximately 5-30 hours per week depending on workload. Fully remote work from anywhere in Canada. Flexible scheduling with opportunities for daytime, evening, weekend, and holiday coverage.

Hourly compensation of $25-$30, commensurate with experience. Potential for the role to expand to additional hours as workload and business needs evolve. Chance to support a multidisciplinary virtual healthcare team and contribute to coordinated patient care.

Exposure to remote clinical operations, EMR workflows, digital healthcare tools, referrals, laboratory results, and pharmacy communications.
