Enhance patient care as an RN in Surgical Daycare at St. Paul’s Hospital. This position involves crucial pre- and post-operative support for surgical patients throughout their recovery journey. You'll engage in assessments, develop care plans, and provide essential education to patients and their families.
Working in a team-oriented environment, you'll ensure patients receive personalized care tailored to their specific needs while contributing to their overall recovery and health outcomes. Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patient needs holistically including spiritual and psychological
- Develop, monitor, and adjust care plans as needed
- Educate patients for surgery preparation and recovery
- Respond to recovery changes with appropriate interventions
- Work closely with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Requirements:
- Current Registered Nurse registration in British Columbia
- One year of recent experience in surgical settings
- Completion of the Adolescent Care in Perianesthesia Nursing course
- Competence in performing CPR as required
- Strong ability to prioritize and communicate effectively
