The MANNARINO culture is focused on high quality, hard work, professionalism and teamwork within a highly respectful, motivating atmosphere geared towards long-term business growth. a flextime policy with paid overtime discretionary bonuses other office perks such as catered weekly lunches and free hot beverages (espresso, coffee, hot chocolate and tea) We are seeking a Satellite Bus System Engineer to design structural, thermal, power distribution, attitude control, propulsion, CD&H;, TT&C;/PDT, FSW, and interface architectures that support payloads and mission operations for current and next-generation remote sensing and communications satellites. into system requirements and allocate them across platform subsystems including Structures, Thermal Control System (TCS), Electrical Power System (EPS), Guidance, Navigation & Control (GNC), Propulsion (PROP), Command & Data Handling (C&DH;), TT&C;/PDT, and Flight Software (FSW).
Concept Trade
Studies & Feasibility Analysis Lead trade studies related to structural designs, thermal control concepts (MLI, heat pipes, radiators, etc.), Conduct Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), fault-tree analysis, reliability assessments, and availability studies.
Maintain platform-level performance budgets.
Support Flight
Software (FSW) and Satellite Reference Database development activities. Present technical status, risk analyses, and trade-study results to senior leadership and stakeholders. Develop verification plans, test matrices, and validation procedures for unit, subsystem, and platform-level testing.
Structural vibration, acoustic, and shock testing. Thermal cycling and thermal vacuum testing. Power distribution functional testing. Closed-loop testing on avionics testbeds. ~ Support Flight Software integration and verification activities.
Technical
Leadership & Mentorship Mentor and lead multidisciplinary teams of junior and intermediate systems engineers and interns. Act as a technical liaison with customers, partners, and external suppliers. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Contribute to internal knowledge management, process improvements, and engineering standards development. Configuration, Documentation & Standards Management Establish and maintain platform engineering standards, including structural margins, thermal control strategies, power bus architectures, and redundancy philosophies. Ensure analyses, software,
documentation, and deliverables are maintained under configuration control within the PLM environment.
Launch
Site, On-Orbit & Operations Support Support launch-site activities, interface checklists, pre-launch verification procedures, and early-orbit checkout operations. Provide real-time engineering support during launch, commissioning, anomaly investigations, and contingency operations. Support spacecraft operations development and associated operator training.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline. Minimum 10 years of spacecraft systems engineering experience on LEO, MEO, and/or GEO satellite platforms. Deep understanding of spacecraft bus subsystems and subsystem interactions.
Experience with power electronics design and high-precision attitude control hardware. Strong understanding of aerospace systems engineering principles. Hands-on experience supporting system integration, testing, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with minimal supervision. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. French language proficiency is considered an asset. Knowledge of English is required to communicate and work with customers outside the province of Quebec. / La connaissance de l'anglais est requis pour communiquer et travailler avec nos clients situés à l'extérieur de la province de Québec.
