We are seeking an Experienced Scaffolding Laborer to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in loading, unloading, transporting, erecting, and dismantling various temporary scaffolding structures on our commercial and residential job sites.This is a physically demanding role requiring someone who already understands scaffolding mechanics, can identify components quickly, and can work efficiently at heights alongside our lead builders.
Key Responsibilities
- Erect and Dismantle: Safely and efficiently erect and dismantle scaffolding systems (modular, system, tube and clamp, or frame) according to blueprints, engineering designs, and safety standards.
- Load, Unload & Stage: Manually load, unload, and organize heavy scaffolding components (tubes, planks, frames, clamps, and couplers) from trucks and staging areas.
- Component Management: Identify, sort, inspect, and organize scaffolding components (standards, ledgers, transoms, planks, and couplers) efficiently on site.
- Safety & Inspection: Perform pre-use inspections on equipment to identify structural defects, damage, or wear, and strictly enforce site fall-protection protocols.
- Site & Equipment Maintenance: Clean and prepare job sites, clear debris, eliminate potential safety hazards, and report any damaged inventory to the supervisor.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience:
Minimum of 1 to 2 years of direct scaffolding experience on commercial or residential construction sites.
- Technical Skills: Proven ability to read basic site layouts and build secure structures using system or tube-and-clamp scaffolding.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to lift and carry heavy components (up to 50 lbs / 23 kg) repeatedly and withstand full shifts of demanding physical labor outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Comfort with Heights: Must be completely comfortable and capable of working at significant heights while securely harnessed and tied off.
- Certifications: Current certification in "Working at Heights", "Fall Protection", "Scaffold Erection and Inspection" is required.
- Reliability & Transport: Valid driver’s license and independent, reliable transportation to commute to the shop or various job sites.
- Weather & Field Flexibility: Adapt to changing site conditions and comfortably work outdoors across all seasonal weather patterns.
- PPE Compliance: Must possess and maintain your own personal standard construction PPE (Steel-toed boots, High-Visibility vest, Hard hat, etc.).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00-$26.00 per hour
